It is universally acknowledged that the mare’s attributes are as critical as the stallions in any studs breeding programme.
We have over the years carefully selected proven mares with outstanding bloodlines, conformation and movement.

Ashlands Sugar Baby

Sire: Keston Brown Sugar / Dam: Ailsa Craig

'Sugar' was purchased as a 2 year old in 1983, chosen for her wonderful bloodlines (tracing back to Pretty Polly) and for her outstanding quality and breathtaking movement. Sugar was a prolific winner in-hand during the 1980’s and qualified for the Supreme in-hand Championship at the HOYS in 1989.

Our pony stallion Pendley Rum Punch was specifically purchased with Sugar in mind. Sadly Sugar died of cancer after only producing two foals by Rum Punch, these were:

Veni Vidi Vici will be making his ridden debut in riding horse classes in 2006, we wish Alix Lucas and Katie Jerram the best of luck with him.

Tragically, Trilby died aged 4, our sympathy goes to Osbourne Refrigeration & Alison Tucker.

'Florie' was purchased from her breeder, Elizabeth Morgan as a foal. She has been successfully shown in-hand and her wins include: - Supreme Champion British Part bred & Anglo Arab Championships, Champion Three Counties, Champion Newark & Notts, Champion NPS etc.

Florie’s first offspring, 'Narcissus' was lightly but successful shown in hand, in 2005, as a 2 year old.

Naomi Campbell

Naomi was bred by John & Vicky Keen, who kindly allowed us to purchase her as a four year old. Naomi has wonderful limbs and the most amazing movement especially her walk, which she is passing onto her stock. Due to ill health Naomi’s showing career, to date has been curtailed, however we hope she will out in 2006 as a broodmare.

Vesper was purchased as a three year old from her breeder, Joy Hillman and was a prolific winner in-hand. We retired Vesper from showing in 1996 after winning at the HOYS. Vesper’s offspring include:

'Daisy' was successfully shown as a youngster, her wins included: Supreme Champion East of England and Supreme Champion South of England. Daisy has produced four foals by our pony stallion Pendley Rum Punch and these include:
